As a result of Arlington’s tie against Scarsdale, the Admirals have been bumped out of the No. 1 spot in Class AA in the New York State Sportswriters Association rankings and dropped them down to No. 4. Three unbeaten teams—Section 11’s Commack, Section 8’s Massapequa and Section 3’s Fayetteville-Manlius—moved ahead of Arlington.

Clik here to view.John Jay-East Fishkill checked in at No. 12 in Class AA, although it’s worth noting that these rankings came out prior to the Patriots’ unexpected loss to White Plains on Tuesday. Mamaroneck is also ranked at No. 18, but many Tigers’ fans would point out that the only game No. 2 Massapequa didn’t win so far this season was a 1-1 tie against Mamaroneck.
In Class A, it’s no surprise that unbeaten Pearl River is the highest ranked Section 1 team at No. 5. Hen Hud (No. 13) and Lakeland (No. 19) are also ranked.
Unbeaten Irvington moved up to No. 2 in Class B, with Bronxville coming in at No. 10 and Edgemont slotting in at No. 13. Solomon Schechter remains the lone Section 1 team ranked in Class C at No. 3.
